Reason why Chelsea, United and Liverpool may miss out on Ramsey

Arsenal have a five-point lead over Manchester United in their pursuit of a top-four finish to secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.

Ramsey has played nine games for Arsenal this season and opened his account for the campaign in the 5-1 thrashing over Fulham.

Arsenal eased to a resounding 5-1 win against Fulham in their final Premier League game before the worldwide break thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Aaron Ramsey.

Unai Emery seems happy to let Ramsey leave as the Arsenal boss aims to focus his transfer funds on his own signings.

Ramsey's contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season and the club are not prepared to offer him a new deal.

The Mirror claim that Manchester United are ready to make a fresh attempt to sign Ramsey after missing out on the player to Arsenal ten years ago but they'll face stiff competition from rivals Liverpool.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Liverpool do not hold an interest in the Wales global but Manchester United and Chelsea are prepared to monitor the situation in the event he is available for nothing. And the club hopes they can use his addition to their advantage to convince Ramsey to sign.

Ramsey could also negotiate with a foreign team from January, with Juventus reportedly interested.

Jurgen Klopp strengthened his midfield options last summer with the arrival of Naby Keita and Fabinho but with James Milner coming towards the end of his career, the Liverpool boss could be eyeing Ramsey as the ideal replacement.
