Diablo Immortal - Blizzard's First Game Made for Mobile

"We have said that we have multiple Diablo teams working on multiple Diablo projects and that remains true, even after releasing [Diablo 3 for Nintendo] Switch and announcing Diablo: Immortal", Adham said.

The backlash from the announcement can be boiled down to fans excitement and desire for a sequel to 2012's Diablo 3.

While Diablo Immortal looks like many other mobile action RPGs, it features all of the polish of any Blizzard game, and more importantly, it delves into the untold histories of the Diablo franchise.

Check out some Diablo Immortal gameplay footage, below.

If you're a fan of Blizzard Entertainment games, this is your E3. There will also be new zones, new stories, and new dungeons to play through.

Diablo Immortal provides players with access to the following character classes: Wizard, Barbarian, Demon Hunter, Crusader, Monk, and Necromancer. If somehow you've managed to avoid getting this pivotal event in Warcraft lore spoiled for you in the 16 years since Warcraft III's release, we won't break your streak, but you probably shouldn't watch the trailer below.

Many people assumed the teases were for an inevitable Diablo 4 announcement, but Blizzard tried to temper that expectation a couple weeks ago. You can even join them to take on risky dungeons. Despite all of these warning signs, fans are still disappointed to learn that the first new entry is a pocket-sized spin-off called Diablo Immortal for mobile platforms. Blizzard has hinted at this several times, but concluding your big opening ceremony with a Diablo mobile game seems like a misstep to us.

The massively multiplayer spin-off will allow over a dozen players to fight together with 6 familiar classes. Each class will also get its own Rare minion that's a 0/3 with stealth for one turn and powerful passive abilities.

Diablo Immortal is "coming soon" to iOS and Android devices.

You can pre-register here to find out more info for the game as they reveal it, as well have a chance to get in on the beta and get exclusive in-game rewards.
