Google's 'Night Sight' Photo Mode Rolling Out to Pixel Phones Today

Black Friday may be a week away, but Google is already running a tempting deal on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL that could save up to 50-percent on the Android smartphones. The feature is now being rolled out through the Camera app update on the Play Store for the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. We're halfway through the month, and it looks like Call Screen is indeed starting to hit some Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones.

Here are a handful of additional Night Sight comparisons. Moreover, Google also shared how Night Sight works which, in a nutshell, works using AI to understand the surroundings at the night and adding light as well as balancing the colours accordingly.

Instead of capturing one bright and blurry photo, Night Sight captures an equal amount of light over a burst of many photos that are dark but sharp.

On Cyber Monday, Google will host a different Pixel 3 promotion. Once activated, it will be just a matter of hitting the shutter button to take a photo and trying to hold still while Night Sight does its work. If you can't find such an accomplice, it might be worth waiting for November 22 when Google will run another deal on the phones. As taking an image through Night Sight does take a little longer than capturing the same image without the feature activated. Check out the sample shots on Google's blog for some great examples of why. Smartphone cameras generally begin to struggle at 30 lux.

"Google Pixel's Night Sight is revolutionizing low-light photography", The Verge says.

So um, Google Night Sight is pretty mind-blowing.

Google has partnered with B2X, a customer care service provider, to provide doorstep after sales services for Pixel devices in India. The video actually uses the previously available pre-release version of the software - although the results are just as crazily impressive.
