Lady Gaga had a special surprise for the audience of her Las Vegas show. According to Variety, "Shallow" was selected to be one of two Oscar-nominated songs that will be performed live at the Academy Awards ceremony on February 24, along with another duet-Kendrick Lamar and SZA's "All the Stars" from the film Black Panther.
In the middle of her Enigma residency show at the Park MGM on Saturday, the pop icon addressed the crowd: "So a really good friend of mine..."

Gaga then proceeded to sit at the piano to play the keys.
Seemingly reluctantly, the actor joined her onstage, following her to the piano before quipping that "Jackson Maine would never wear these", as he struggled with some in-ear monitors. Gaga then powerfully started singing her part, "Tell me something, boy". "He made that movie A Star Is Born".
The song earned the singer, born Stefani Germanotta, an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe Award for best original song.
Though he added, "I can't hear anything", Cooper seemed unfazed as he launched into a rendition of the song, which is nominated for an Oscar.
