Everton should take advantage of Chelsea spurning opportunity to sign Malcom

Maurizio Sarri says he wants to keep Willian at Chelsea but believes the Brazilian needs to do better.

Barca reportedly bid £55m for the player in July, only for Chelsea to rebuff the offer.

The Brazil worldwide is thought to be on the Camp Nou club's radar, with Chelsea said to have rejected a Barca offer of Malcom plus cash for his services.

Willian to Barca in cash-plus-player deal?

Reports coming in from top sources have suggested that Chelsea have rejected Barcelona's offer of €60m plus Malcom for Willian.

Sarri's wing options have been bolstered by the return to fitness of both Willian and Pedro from muscle injuries, but uncertainty surrounding Callum Hudson-Odoi's future makes Willian's availability all the more important.

Sarri, though, thinks that the Blues star will be staying put at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old right wing has only played 363 minutes for Barca, however, scoring only two goals while suffering a pair of short-term injuries.

Malcom started in the Copa del Rey 2-1 defeat to Levante on Thursday, he missed some golden chances to bring Barcelona back to the match, the La Liga Champions have reportedly received interest from China but they are yet to sanction the deal. "I don't know what you're talking about".

"I think he can do better, he can do better because of his potential but he is really very important to us, so I think it is impossible to lose Willian in January".

The Chelsea boss then explained how Willian can further up his displays on the pitch. "And he has the potential to score more".
