Giroud reveals Arsenal players happy under Emery

The Daily Mirror report adds that Suarez has always been Arsenal's top transfer target this month, and they will continue to try and bring him in before the end of January.

And yet, despite what's at stake, one name has dominated headlines ahead of the London derby: Mesut Ozil.

Arsenal's defeat at West Ham left them six points behind Chelsea in the race for fourth place and defeat at the Emirates would nearly certainly signal the end of their challenge for Champions League qualification via the league.

Although Ozil is available to face Chelsea, Arsenal will still be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck.

"Chelsea are set to offer Petr Cech a role at the club when he calls time on his playing career this summer - but Arsenal should be looking to keep him, too", he said.

And when asked about Ozil potentially leaving in January, Arsenal's manager responded: "I am not thinking about that".

It's not me who decides the team, making the starting XI, but obviously, every single player wants to play every single game.

"I want every player to give consistency".

"He didn't play the last game but this Saturday he could possibly be with us". I am thinking about how he can help us.

Ozil has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal after failing to fit in under the Unai Emery regime at the Emirates so far this season. "We had two or three meetings together and we are working normally".

"Today the normality is working with him", Emery said.

"He has helped us sometimes this year with good performances and others not good".

Both sides are now bidding for a top four spot and a place in next season's Champions League.
