Hardik, Rahul suspended pending probe, to be sent home

As punishment, Pandya and Rahul were suspended by India's cricket administrators, hours after captain Virat Kohli expressed his strong disapproval. All mentions of the K.L. Rahul and Hardik Pandya-centric episode have been erased from the social media handles of Star World as well, the channel on which the show airs on TV.

Pandya also said he had bragged to his parents after losing his virginity. Rules were even changed to benefit particular individuals to allow them to allow inter-state transfer which was severely condemned and decried by those present. Rahul answered saying, "up to the woman" while an outspoken Hardik said: "Nahi nahi aisa kuch nahi hai, talent pe hota hai".

He added: "From the Indian cricket team point of view, any inappropriate comments that are made in that scenario are something we definitely don't support".

'And I actually had to tell them.

'After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way.

In the throwback video, Ranveer says that he used to watch Kareena Kapoor swimming in Otters Club and that is when he turned into a boy from a child. "You don't get carried away by a mere show's nature #WHATASHAMW". And though Rahul didn't make any controversial comments himself, social media users have blamed him for not intervening and taking up a stand.

Terming the BCCI's decision to take punitive measures against the two India cricketers, Harbhajan said, "The BCCI did the right thing, and this is also the way forward".

"Based on the legal opinion and till the time the final procedure is laid down to address this issue, will recommend that a communication be sent to the concerned players and the team immediately", Edulji said in response to the legal team's email on Friday morning, which has been accessed by ESPNcricinfo.

The pair will therefore be absent for the one-day series in Australia, set to start on Saturday, as well as the forthcoming tour to New Zealand, with the BCCI set to name replacements in due course.

Kohli's side sealed its first Test series victory in Australia this week when the fourth match ended in a draw.
