From the co-directors of Ryan Reynolds hustler movie Mississippi Grind, and the writing team that consists of folks who worked on the first Guardians Of The Galaxy, we know that this movie will be set in the 90's.
The footage opens on Brie Larson's Carol cruising on her motorcycle down an open road before turning into the parking lot of a bar-slash-market-slash-liquor store.
This latest sneak peek at Captain Marvel is full of exciting new footage, and shows more of the friendship that is happening between Carol and Nick Fury. We'll get to visit the Kree planet, Hala, and spend time with Starforce members including Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva and Djimon Hounsou as Korath, but there's another very important part of the Kree lifestyle that'll be featured in Captain Marvel, the Supreme Intelligence. But there have been doubts about Carol Danvers' on-screen debut. After all, there's a reason why Fury waited for decades to ask her for help.
Alongside the fresh Captain Marvel extended spot, Marvel unveiled three incredible new posters for the film - one for the IMAX version, another for the Dolby Cinema format, and one for the RealD 3-D version. "And at some point, we'll find out how powerful she is and all the things that she's capable of". To mark the event they've also unveiled a new "special look" at the upcoming long-awaited film. In his first appearance at the Golden Globes, Feige addressed fans' fears and doubts about Avengers and other films in the pipeline, in an interview with MTV News.
Fans have already gotten to see a taste of what that looks like.
