A man was skiing on the slopes of Mount Hermon on Golan Heights when the camera on his helmet captured a missile interception by Israel.
On Sunday, Iranian Quds Forces operating in Syria launched a surface-to-surface rocket from Syria aimed at Israel's Golan Heights. Israel said the targets included munition storage facilities, an intelligence site and a military training camp, as well as a number of Syrian air defense batteries.
"Israel will continue to block Iran's efforts to use Syria Lebanon and Gaza as forward bases for attacking Israel for the express goal which they openly declare - destroying Israel", Netanyahu said.
The recent Israeli missile strike on Syria has sparked many debates in Russian media due to widespread criticism of the ineffectiveness of Russian-manufactured air defences, which are now deployed in Syria. Both the attack in the video and the subsequent Israeli response came with a slew of statements in the media issued by both Syrian and Israeli officials claiming to have fended off rocket and missile attacks using their respective missile defense systems.
"We have started striking Iranian Quds targets in Syrian territory", a military statement said. "The attack was an Iranian attempt to strike at Israel".
The strikes have long caused friction between Israel and Russian Federation, which apart from Iran is Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's other major foreign backer.
During a visit to an army base on January 23, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signaled that the Syria sorties will continue.
The foreign affairs ministry also denied the presence of Iran military bases in Syria, stipulating that its presence in the war-torn country was only for consulting purposes.
"This is meant to work against Iranian missiles than can fly for thousands of miles", said Rubin.
Earlier this month, Netanyahu confirmed that Israel was behind another bombardment on Iranian targets in Syria.
"We're ready for the decisive war that will bring about Israel's disappearance from the earth". Iran's air force chief Brig. Iran's Qud Forces are elite units within Iran's Revolutionary Guard tasked with unconventional warfare and intelligence-gathering operations, not entirely unlike special operations troops employed by many nations around the world.
