WWE Superstars Cosplay At Mortal Kombat 11 Cover Art Reveal

Be ready - whether it's on the hardwood for an intense one-on-one, or battling against Shao Khan in Shang Tsung's Courtyard, know one thing: You're Next. We saw battles between Baraka and Scorpion and Sonya Blade and Skarlet. In a video, the MMA star turned wrestler as she talked about her love for the franchise and the character she helped bring to life in the new game.

The Mortal Kombat 11 reveal event takes place today on January 17, 2019. We have yet to see other staples such as Jax, Reptile, Quan Chi, or Kung Lao, as well as numerous more prominent new characters from Mortal Kombat X like Jackie Cage, Kung Jin, Takashi Takeda, and D'Vorah, but there's quite some time between now and the game's release. We were there to get all the gory details.

UFC champion, Olympic medalist and WWE superstar, Ronda Rousey, was announced as the voice of Sonya Blade. She has been controlling all of the events of the franchise from the very first Mortal Kombat, that is until Raiden ruined her plans with his meddling.

Whilst we wouldn't normally believe anything without a large pinch of salt, this leak correctly predicted the cover art before Ed Boon was able to reveal it on Twitter. I've started sending over what we have for Sonya, which hasn't been much so far.

Those who preorder on PS4 and Xbox One will get access to a prelaunch beta sometime in March, our sister site GameSpot noted.

Also worth noting is that it seems like the Kollector's Edition of Mortal Kombat 11 will only be available at GameStop in the United States.

There's also two new characters called Geras and Kronica, both of which can be seen in the trailer. But we'll find out soon enough.
