Video game journalist and host of the Video Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, posted on Twitter that his sources confirmed that the show might have smashed the current world record for players in Fortnite. As seen on the fliers for the Showtime Venue, which was a part of a challenge players needed to complete, the Showtime Venue will be in Pleasant Park.
The stage for the show has been constructed on the football field inside the park.
